2A Hoisting License - Operate a crawler or rubber tired excavator, backhoe, or loader on other people’s property. Only licensed operators are to operate equipment for hire on properties in Massachusetts.
Pesticide License - The 1978 Pesticide Control Act of Mass. Is the law regulating the use of pesticides in Mass. Our employees must pass a state license exam in order to acquire a pesticide license. Only license applicators may apply fertilizer or pesticides (insecticides and herbicides) on properties in Massachusetts.
Class A C.D.L. – Commercial Drivers License. Our employees must pass a Mass. State license exam for a Commercial Drivers License. It is required in the U.S. to operate any vehicle with gross weight of 26,000 G.V.W or towing a trailer over 10,000 G.V.W. In 1986 a Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act was signed into law to improve highway safety by insuring truck drivers are qualified to drive.
ICPI - Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute - Established in 1993, is the North American trade association representing the interlocking paving industry a leader in development and dissemination of technical information for design professional and contractors. Its mission is to increase the use of segmental concrete pavement systems in North America. Our employees have passed a certification exam to properly install pavers by their standards.
MNLA - Massachusetts Nursery and Landscape Association. Established in 1910, this is a non profit organization whose members are committed to promoting environmental awareness and the highest standards of the Massachusetts nursery and landscape industry.
MLP - Massachusetts Landscape Professional. Established in 1963, the only non-profit professional trade association in Massachusetts specifically created to serve the landscape management industry. Members must successfully complete the MCLP exam, the current standard in Massachusetts for certifying landscape professionals in all phases of landscape construction.
MCLP - Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional. Established in 1993, the MCLP program is overseen by an elected MCLP Committee dedicated to ensuring that year to year, the MCLP program and those certified are of the highest caliber*. *mlp website
MALCP - Massachusetts Association of Lawn Care Professionals. Established over 14 years ago, its primary goal is to serve as an informing resource to association members, legislators, and the Board of Health.
